For those who were thinking of sauntering in to this new development later this year to buy a house, it doesn’t look good. Those on the waiting list won’t be peeling off to buy similarly-priced resales around Carmel Valley, because there is no comparison:

look like nice places but > a million seems crazy.
How many new developments do you know of in your selling area? Seems like a handful of developments to choose from. what is the premium to buy new?
Doesn’t this serves to quadruple the available homes for sale in CV for houses over 3000 sq. ft. ?
Has to pull a little bit on the resale market.
Same houses… slow last year, screaming this year.
Herd behavior is SCARY.
