Cool video…I always wonder what is so great about Carmel Valley. It’s nice, but I can’t see why people prefer a tiny home on a tiny lot for a lot of money…I would buy something in Encinitas.
Jim, there is a house that is so outrageous that you should check out. It’s at the end of Sheridan in Leucadia, near the Nantucket disaster. It’s on a triple lot and takes up the entire thing…I wonder what the story is behind it? If you could figure it out, that would be great. I live around there and was just blown away at it.

haha….we packed the kids up in the car and headed to the beach at noon on Saturday to do a little tsunami watching. It was raining quite a bit, but we weren’t the only lookieloos. I was surprised at all the people out watching the water for something tsunami related.

Re: Carmel Country Highlands clip – I’m not sure why you always make such a big deal about living near power lines. I’ve been living within 50 yards of power lines since 2004 and I’m perfectly fine! By the way, why does it always seem like I’m seeing your videos with double vision??? Is there something wrong with your camera??? And that Blue Angel fly-over at the end of the clip was awesome!

Am I the only one that finds that hilarious? 🙂 Maybe it’s only funny because I haven’t yet watched the video.
Petra, as Jim said in the video it’s more “fear of the unknown” and not really based on facts or evidence. It’s one of those things where perception can be reality when it comes to pricing I guess.

I was out at Torrey Pines State Reserve, and saw the tide go in and out in about 5 minute increments. Pretty underwhelming, but that was our “tsunami”.
I also saw the Manzanita homes back over the summer. Model 4 with the big middle area was nice, but I would have wanted the ones along open space. And I was not about to get into a bidding war during a housing depression.

Nobody wants to sit in traffic on the 5 heading north from downtown every afternoon. It gets bad right after Del Mar Heights Rd.

maybe the condo owners can get the HOA to dress up the cell phone tower:

New Mexico has it right when it comes to cell towers…it is why every one wants to live there:
