For that kind of $$$ and HOA you could get Newport La Jolla or Coronado condos with similar amenities. Might even make more sense to buy a property bulldoze it and build your own from scratch.
I get that if you don’t have a big hook you’re not going to land the even bigger fish. It’s just that downtown Carlsbad doesn’t seem like the right place to “cast your bait”.
Maybe not selling + living in the penthouse while it is listed was the developers plan all along?
