The mayor attempts to clarify some of the bigger political issues around north county:
- SANDAG and creating a transportation plan to comply with state law.
- SB 50, higher density, and complying with state housing law.
- ADUs and vacation rentals.

Planners pushing density on developers pushing density anyway in a State pushing density. Municipalities are not considering the ongoing costs beyond the initial influx.
My biggest objection is that these programs are overtly dedicated to changing the character of neighborhoods where people, existing residents, have substantially invested in the existing character.
