The only designer we’ve had at bubbleinfo.com, Stefanie Fontecha, has updated our look!
The internet age is fascinating. Even though Stefanie has been a critical member of the Bubbleinfo team over the last ten years, I’ve never met her, and we’ve never spoken live. I just know her by emails, and the image above!
She designs all types of websites, and has a real-estate specific division.
If you happen to be the market for a new website, click here to see her work:
She is still editing the new site here, so there may be some disruptions. But in the end, we’re hoping to be faster. She is “optimizing the site for speed”, and though I don’t know exactly what that means, I like the sound of it!
Jim, it’s nice to see how many comments have been made on each blog post without having to click through. Can’t see that now with the new site. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the suggestion Joe – we’re checking!
I’m open to all ideas/improvements, so anyone who has one let me know here or privately.
Since moving to Compass we’ve been committed to our digital presence and making sure we are not “secret” agents. Thanks to Stefanie for her help so far. There is more to come!
I must admit I cannot stand the black bar at the top that stays in place (but sometimes mysteriously dissapears) as I scroll through the site.
The sticky header on mobile is awful. It disappears and reappears while scrolling. Super distracting and ugly. It shouldn’t try to animate in when you are scrolling down. It should also minimize and be a lot less intrusive when you scroll down like other sticky headers.
I don’t think this was designed as a “responsive” website since the mobile experience is a little janky.
I’m glad you are spending time on the redesign though. Like all software it just needs more iterations.
Couple of comments (old fogy-ism, so take with a grain of salt). I don’t like having to “read more” to see a post – and then having that post replace the reverse chrono post list (have to hit “back” to get back to the full list of posts). Also, there’s no date/time stamp on the posts, so I can’t tell where I am in the post sequence.
General look is nice – concerns are with mechanism.
Thank you for the solid suggestions – we’re working on them. It always takes a few days to get the bugs out.
