This new house listed in September, 2017 for $7,300,000, and it just closed Monday for $6,500,000 (and another oceanfront house listed for $10,500,000 went pending today):

As a guy who litigates (in favor of the right to build seawalls to protect against erosion), I would be very wary to buy a house there. The odds are very high that you won’t be able to protect it in the event of a catastrophic bluff collapse or that the cost to do so (in terms of fees to the state) will be much, much higher than people have been budgeting for in recent years. But it’s a beautiful view. In another 20 years, I wouldn’t be surprised if houses one row back from the ocean will be worth more than the oceansfront ones due to those liabilities!
How many years until it collapses into the Pacific? Little wonder half the video is overpriced “trendy” shopping.
