A walking tour of downtown during the 1st Annual Taste of Carlsbad. They had a limit of 500 people so it was fairly subdued, but good to see enthusiastic promotions and many new businesses! Thank you Peter J. for the hospitality!

State st really needs to be closed to thru traffic on a permanent basis a la The Promenade in Santa Monica. The city should focus on discouraging driving into the Village. There are enough people in Carlsbad and south OSide to support these business without having to cater to outside tourists who drive into the Village.
