Three months ago newly listed condos for sale would be lucky to get 2-3 showings their first week.
Today we got ten showing requests within 3 Hours of a unit going on the market.
It's unbelievable how quickly the market can change
Is the housing market resilient to rising rates? Context matters and each rising-rate era is different. Even if rising rates persist in 2021, the context is good for the housing market. https://blog.firstam.com/economics/why-the-housing-market-can-thrive-if-a-new-rising-rate-era-begins
Will the wildfires increase demand for housing (my house burned down, I need another) or decrease demand (houses burned in San Diego – I’m outta here)?
No change in the market.
There were only around 40 houses lost, and Americans are famous for their spunk to re-build. Those of us involved in the market will forget all about the fires in another week.
Good to see you back in sales mode!
Thanks – I love selling!
Here was my second take – a slightly different version and only 35 seconds!

I like the first one. Your passion comes thru better.
I agree with GameAgent, Jim! Your enthusiasm is much more pronounced in the first video. And bonus points for only 46 seconds.
After1 watching the first video, I want you to be my listing agent! Oh yeah, there’s a few small details that we need to be work out: 1. I don’t even live in the San Diego area; 2. Or in CA; and 3. I’m not ready to sell my home. But you did a video tour of it back in 1/2011 (Without even being here). JtR, I bet spring–prime RE season–is your favorite season. Am I right?
