Buy Or Not?

Another skim of the usual myths to justify whether people should buy a home now:
by the time these folk finally get it right it will be too late to buy.
I guess the big mouth wasn’t watching the day I was on there and said foreclosures are good – we need the inventory.
I wish they would run every single defaulter out of their squat fest today.
In San Diego County currently:
Properties on NOD and NOT lists: 11,226
Closed MLS sales this year: 11,101
How many of the defauters are strategic, just looking for a free ride until their loan mod gets through? Half? Wouldn’t they buck up and start paying if the banks said in or out?
We could get through this in a year or two while rates are ultra-low, or we can rant about shadow inventory and throw around all the other buzzwords.
What thinking person would base any financial decision on what the TV ‘news’ cartoon characters are pimping today, this week, this cycle, etc.
What they really should concern themselves with is what flavor ice cream Grandpa Greed is licking today down in Omaha…
Bull run on Vanilla?
PT Barnum was Right.
p.s. The right 25 or so motivated bikers could solve the squatting problem virtually overnight. Think about it.
When we were paying $1800/month on rent we decided to finally buy.
