Thanks for posting this video – I was out all day at the event, and the final flyover in formation was awesome (in the real sense of that word). What a perfect day for San Diego and the Navy to show off – having moved here for retirement from the liberal Bay Area, if felt so good to be unapologetically pro-military. When the final flyover took place, everyone along the waterfront cheered.

BTW – if anyone wants to capture this video to their hard disk, Youtubedownloader is great for this. Just Google youtubedownloader, and download the CNET (Macafee approved) version.
Beautiful work by the cameraman. The image was incredibly stable and in focus. You definitely don’t see that very often in YouTube videos.

The same guy has added another showing the LCAC and another of helicopter flybys. One shot has a bunch of Hueys & Huey Cobras in loose formation — it can’t help but bring to mind the Ride of the Valkyries.

The same cameraman took others – here is the Air Wing from the John C. Stennis forming a mile-wide formation (the final flyover?):

Thanks for the great video. I am on east coast and there was little or no news of this fantastic show locally.
You’re welcome.
I thought that this is probably an once-in-a-lifetime event to see the entire spectrum of naval aviation flying in one video.
And yes agreed Mark, San Diego is a military town, and proud of it.

p.s.: Am disappointed that I haven’t yet found any footage of F-14s, or of the V-22’s transitioning flight modes.
