There are some newer estates mixed in with the funky old beach cottages and flower fields of Leucadia, 92024. Here’s a 3,838 square footer that sold for $1,895,000 when it was new in 2006:

Well, the tub had jets.
Gorgeous house!
Well, the tub had jets.
LOL
here’s how buyers will look at it:
Nothing like it on the block, not much yard, some freeway noise, and really no ocean view to speak of. But nice house.
Plenty of buyers at $1 to $1.1 million though, because it’s better than Ency Ranch where you spend about $1M for a standard tract house about the same size. This one closed yesterday, and we didn’t like it much:

JTR – check out the 2nd position note on this house (i assume a 2nd) with SD Ready Mix Concrete as the lender for nearly $800k behind $1.4mm+….very odd and thus shocked the deal terms of the short sale seem a bit wierd as well.
Never seen that before.
What’s wrong with “funky”? 😉
Nice house, but I think you nailed what the buyers are going to think.
Nice. No wonder there’s 2 rooms down those stairs look brutal on film.
4000 sq ft and only four bedrooms. If you have three kids and want to have guests your are SOL.
I would prefer less open space and one more bedroom and perhaps an office.
Obviously, it is a nice house nonetheless.
I like the bedrooms downstairs from an elderly parent point of view… but that features was destroyed by the steps up to the kitchen/dining/great room area. Why do people put stairs on the main level?
