Would you move this year if you could figure out where to go?

The chart above helps identify the best values by cross-referencing income and costs.  To no one’s surprise, living in San Diego comes with a hefty premium!

If getting more bang for your buck is important, then they suggest moving to Houston….with Dallas, Las Vegas, Austin and Charlotte also in that quadrant. Phoenix is a great place to retire, and if you don’t mind spending a little more money then Oregon, Washington, Denver, and Miami might be worth considering.

Do you have suggestions for places to move? 🙂

Here’s a brief look at small towns around Arizona:

When we lived in Phoenix, we lived right on the edge of Cave Creek. So much so, that we had a Cave Creek address with Phoenix city services! Top notch schools and less hustle and bustle than living closer to the city.

I grew up in Nogales, AZ. Tumacacori-Carmen is about 20 mins north of Nogales. Tumacacori-Carmen is a sleepy little place with a lot of history! Santa Cruz Chili & Spice Company is a must visit shop. Before they built the I-19 freeway, people used to drive right through Tumacacori-Carmen on their way to Tucson, which is just just about a 45 min drive.

As for Tubac, it’s a little bigger than Tumacacori-Carmen, but still small. They have a golf resort, some restaurants and a lot of art shops. Lots of art shops!
