I’m headed to Scottsdale next weekend to see Diamondbacks, Rockies and our Brown and Gold Padres. March in AZ is pretty much the perfect scenario of weather and things to do.
If I had to pick a spot to live there after visiting frequently for 30 years it would be the Arcadia neighborhood of Scottsdale. Not many people outside of locals talk about it. But…would need the North San Diego County escape of the AZ summer heat for 3-4 months.
Agree about Arcadia, in spite of the sting one night while pitching for our American Legion team one summer at Arcadia HS.
A guy hit a home run off me that was still rising when it passed the lights in the outfield! The baseball was never found.
I still get kidded about it to this day by people who were there.

You are better at pitching real estate than baseballs Jim! Arcadia’s sweet spot is North of the canal, west to Arcadia, east to 64th and south of the Phoenician resort. But it has gotten pricey over the last decade. I have been fortunate over the last 3 decades to spend over a year combined in stays at the Phoenician resort as I used to do business with them so I know the hoods pretty well around there.
Yep, it was tough to find a listing around a million. Plenty at $5,000,000++!!

I cleaned that pool hundreds of times! Once we rode our bikes off the flat roof of the house into the pool.
People need to know that Phoenix is huge and very spread out. Square miles wise, Phoenix is bigger than Los Angeles. So, make sure to get good help!
