So, Jim, fess up — what did they want for the truck? 😉
Why would an owner list their Solana Beach property with an OC agent?
Very nice.
I guess you have to pay for quality, but I liked it.
I would love to see before/after photos. That would be something you could put on HGTV.
OMFG…yes, please. What a wonderful house. Lots of character and feels comfortable. Sure, lacking some of the space of newer homes when it comes to garage, but dang.
With most of the houses I see in Jim’s videos I rarely can see myself living in those big bombers in stepford tracts, but this one I could move into tomorrow.

The seller commented on that – he said he talked to some local agents and they all sounded the same, and not very impressive.
I just received the county-wide realtor stats for 2010, and they are selling a lot less than they want you to believe.
Nice house. I like the style. +1 to Art’s comment about the stepford tracts.
Jim – how aout that jerk…er….agent that wanted his house down? What are your legal rights? You’re not hurting anyone! Is he afraid that you’d attract a buyer and he won’t double end it? Pretty short sighted.
Tasteful, classic, quietly elegant. The dogs and the Suburban are the finishing touches on a beautifully executed North County Classic. This home is Grace Kelley, that one in Manhattan Beach was Kim Kardashian.

Seems like this is the house. It’s not a bad deal imo. Too bad it’s in pending at the moment.
Jim, you should show more houses like this. Comfortable and near the beach. That’s my type of place.
There have been too many mcmansions on the blog lately. Show something we can afford.
We just saw $429,000 in Carlsbad – what can you afford?
Nice and unique in a great little community. They should throw-in the Suburban to clinch the deal!
I agree with what everyone said.

so they think the house has risen $400k in value since 2005 when they paid $1,250,000. What market crash?
Believe it or not Jim, not everyone can afford a $429k house.
Are there no starter homes in north county? We’re just regular people looking to buy a regular house.
Answer the question, and I’ll see if I can help you out.
Here’s one I sold last week for $167,500:

What market crash?
I’m a little sketchy on where they get their comps, unless the $500,000 Chevy is included.
Jim, thanks, but no thank.
Excellent place. I love that studio in back.
