@Levijameshere It's bananas! The area around I10 and 99 is going to the moon. People are overbidding on rentals. Never seen this with rentals. Texas is looking like the next Manufacturing Hub of the US in the next decade. We may buy San Diego just for the weather and beaches though
@Levijameshere Read that Phoenix/Chandler is getting 4million sqft of industrial and $20B(!!) chip factory 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I also felt and heard it. I thought it might have been some bombing at the base, guess not.
Yep, that was my first thought too because those happen so much. Here’s more:
A magnitude 4.0 earthquake near Temecula, Riverside County, California, USA, was reported only 20 minutes ago by the United States Geological Survey, considered the key international and national agency that monitors seismic activity in the US. The earthquake occurred at a shallow depth of 8.5 miles beneath the epicenter in the morning on Sunday, January 30th, 2022, at 9:46 am local time.
The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
A second report was later issued by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), which listed it as a magnitude 4.0 earthquake as well.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should not have caused any significant damage, but was probably felt by many people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter.
Weak shaking might have been felt in Aguanga (pop. 1,100) located 8 miles from the epicenter, Temecula (pop. 112,000) 18 miles away, and Escondido (pop. 151,500) 18 miles away.
Other towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include San Marcos (pop. 92,900) located 20 miles from the epicenter, Vista (pop. 100,900) 21 miles away, Murrieta (pop. 109,800) 23 miles away, Carlsbad (pop. 113,500) 28 miles away, Oceanside (pop. 175,700) 29 miles away, and San Diego (pop. 1,394,900) 45 miles away.
Jim, you should check out the progress on Leucadia Boulevard and Quail Gardens Road. They are demolishing the greenhouses for the new AGRIHOOD
We felt it in Escondido!
