As good as twitter gets right here: Meet the Chicago-area man behind the hilarious Super 70s Sports Twitter account: 'I poke fun. It's a little profane. But I think it's good-hearted' https://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/ct-spt-super-70s-sports-ricky-cobb-20190223-story.html
I am an active realtor working the street so most of the time the reality is stranger than fiction these days. But you could probably say that it's been like that since the beginning in 2005. Thanks for asking.

So many choices!
Jim, which do buyers and sellers prefer? How do they rank?
Hardwood
Engineered hardwood
Stone
Stone look porcelain tile
Wood look porcelain tile
Ceramic tile
Vinyl
Stone-Poly composite
Thanks!
Nah, just pick anything and slap it down. No one will notice the height difference after a little creative putty is applied around the baseboards and door trim. Okay, maybe not so much.

The hardwoods are tough to retrofit into existing homes due to the extra height but it will probably be the #1 choice for most who can afford it and insist on the best.
But the look-alikes are so similar now that they are very suitable. The SPC and engineered hardwood are the next-best choices, plus vinyl too if you don’t have a mis-match in heights like Mitch mentioned here.
The stone and tile have grout lines, which get dirty. But not a problem if you don’t mind the maintenance.
