The highly anticipated, no-reserve auction in Rancho Santa Fe happens later today. It was on the market for $36,500,000 back in 2006 and for sale ever since – the latest list price was $22,500,000 last year.
Casa Del Sol — from Concierge Auctions
This is the second no-reserve auction in Rancho Santa Fe by this company. The first was the gambler’s house, and it sold for $13,000,000 last month:

Any guesses on tonight’s final price?
My guess is
28.9 million
(but really I would have bought the Maui Ritz place first)
Imagine how happy the guy is who bought the Ritz resort for 100Mil?
High bid; $24.4m plus auction fees. Does it close? No.
No Reserve…does not mean there won’t be shill bidders. Remember REDC aka auction.com

I see you understand my comment. It won’t happen but the best thing that could happen is if the losing bidders refer the whole thing to the DA if the they get approached after a failed winning bid.
Another mayoral flip? In a historical context, the answer is yes. The RSF Covenant lies within the boundaries of the Osuna land grant. Osuna was the first mayor of San Diego.
The original Covenant has some of the most beautifully designed, landscape-appropriate houses in the county from the likes of Requa, Rice and the Weir Brothers. Nouveau-Gucci monstrosities like the the one shown here are in, uh, another class.
$19,850,000.00 is my official entry in the JtR Sweepstakes.
Oh what the heck, JtR, I’ll join the fun! -> $18,950,000. Will they accept a cashier’s check from me? 🙂
Wow, really gorgeous estate: 29.9 Million
Heard it was 11M gorgeous. (Unconfirmed.)
Looks like $12.32 million.
Yep, which includes the 10% buyer’s premium. Subtract that and the high bid was $11,200,000.
I guessed $11 million but now it’s not in the comments – those sexy young bots must be after me again!
