They may put realtors out of business but they aren't getting any money. Brokerages will file BK instead.
Um. Moehrl v. NAR was just certified as a class action. I want to read the Memorandum Opinion, but holy shit, this is HARSH! "Current AND FUTURE owners of residential real estate" on top of everyone who sold in the past? #Gotterdammerung #NAR #antitrust

Good Heavens! 1969! Lessee….I was in 6th grade….and I remember listening to this on my transistor radio propped up on the windowsill next to my bed while I was supposed to be sleeping.
The hippie-dippie stuff shown in the video was my teenage sister, I was still in Leave it to Beaver land. But yes, in retrospect, taking a stand was the order of the day.
And shortly thereafter, the car of my dreams made its debut – the 1970 Dodge Challenger….lust…lust….. O.K. back to the present, gotta go to work tomorrow. Gee…what happened?
When they ended the draft, it changed everything. With the military being all-volunteer, no reason to protest there.
Nothing else has been drastic enough to get people off the couch.
Speaking of the hippie-dippie stuff, heroin use might be worse now:

SAN DIEGO (CNS) – The use of heroin has risen over the past decade in San Diego County, according to a study released Thursday.
The report by the San Diego Association of Governments Criminal Justice Research Division found that the portion of adult men and women booked into county jails who tested positive for opiates doubled between 2002 and 2012.
Use of opiates, which include heroin, morphine, hydrocodone, hydromorphone, and Codeine, went from 5 to 10 percent among men and 6 to 12 percent among women, the study found.
“There is strong evidence that the recent increase in heroin use is driven in part by the growing abuse of prescription painkillers,” said SANDAG Director of Criminal Justice Research Cynthia Burke. “From interviews with people in jail we learned that heroin is often used as a substitute for prescription opiates because it’s relatively cheap and easy to obtain.”
