I wonder if they built the wall tall enough so the second story of the homes are shielded from the noise of the road?

Carlsbad is looking more and more like a deal and almost rural compared to the CV zone. As CV demand goes up, prime Carlsbad areas will follow. “Premium Ditch View Lots” thats a new one!

Amazing that Pardee can get $700k for Hampton Lanes (then buyers have to pay for options and flooring) when just a few blocks over, low lot line homes with a view that are only a few years old are selling for low-mid $600’s: http://www.sdlookup.com/MLS-120006139-6064_Blue_Dawn_San_Diego_CA_92130

Man that is a tough choice. Do I go with the premium ditch-front house or the house on the 4 lane road? If only I could find a house that was ditch-front and also on a 4 lane road – c’mon Pardee, hook me up. And throw some gargantuan War of the Worlds power line towers in while you are at it, please…
The PHR experiment continues – more houses but no shopping, no parks, no schools. Pardee and the City of San Diego, putting on clinic on how to execute a suburban plan.
Re doughboy’s comment on Carlsbad, I sense that that current and trending demographic up there is much different than CV/PHR/RP, which may or may not have an impact on demand and pricing. Jim knows better on this I am sure.
