Before the Crosby and Cielo were built, the end of the road was Rancho Del Rio.
P.S. In these parts, people seem to ignore the power lines.

Three months ago newly listed condos for sale would be lucky to get 2-3 showings their first week.
Today we got ten showing requests within 3 Hours of a unit going on the market.
It's unbelievable how quickly the market can change
Is the housing market resilient to rising rates? Context matters and each rising-rate era is different. Even if rising rates persist in 2021, the context is good for the housing market. https://blog.firstam.com/economics/why-the-housing-market-can-thrive-if-a-new-rising-rate-era-begins
Through the wall ‘hotel-style’ AC units look like an after thought. Got to wonder if AC came to mind of a prior owner on one of those rare humid days, or was the adobe up when someone realized ducting was left out. Sales history shows $1.35 mill on June 25, 2004 followed 5 months later at $2.06 on 11/19/04 then FC on May 19 ’11 for $1.57 mill. Seven years gone. Records show it was built in 1992 so the June ’04 sale was not just the lot, but what happened to pop the value 52% in 5 mo? Froth?
Was going to post this listing in the comments yesterday- wanted to have a contest what it will sell for.
A question is the ladder just for decoration or is there some useful closet space up there? It seems that the ladder would violate safety standards, by the way it looks. If its trying to look like Mesa Verde and the like then …
The very fact of the ladder there makes the whole place seem more like a museum or amusement park exhibit rather than a home. “Here’s where the rancho servants climbed up to store their harvest for the winter…”
ewhac, I think I found an old home movie of the former owners living in that house. Gives you an idea of what went on before they left:

Yeah, I found this house on Redfin last year and was very interested. Unfortunately, the pond is not totally within the property, so it is shared on its north side with the adjacent horse property. Also, the power lines and neighbor next door to the south are just too close. The pond needs to be cleaned and maintained & is part of a larger drainage area that flows southwest towards Rancho.
Now that is wacky…er eclectic. I could love that house because I love adobe and I grew up in the Midwest (no adobe in Minnesota). If I had grown up in the Southwest though, that house would probably be really annoying every day.
