We have known Jim & Donna Klinge for over a dozen years, having met them in Carlsbad where our children went to the same school. As long time North County residents, it was a no- brainer for us to have the Klinges be our eyes and ears for San Diego real estate in general and North County in particular. As my military career caused our family to move all over the country and overseas to Asia, Europe and the Pacific, we trusted Jim and Donna to help keep our house in Carlsbad rented with reliable and respectful tenants for over 10 years.
Naturally, when the time came to sell our beloved Carlsbad home to pursue a rural lifestyle in retirement out of California, we could think of no better team to represent us than Jim and Donna. They immediately went to work to update our house built in 2004 to current-day standards and trends — in 2 short months they transformed it into a literal modern-day masterpiece. We trusted their judgement implicitly and followed 100% of their recommended changes. When our house finally came on the market, there was a blizzard of serious interest, we had multiple offers by the third day and it sold in just 5 days after a frenzied bidding war for 20% above our asking price! The investment we made in upgrades recommended by Jim and Donna yielded a 4-fold return, in the process setting a new high water mark for a house sold in our community.
In our view, there are no better real estate professionals in all of San Diego than Jim and Donna Klinge. Buying or selling, you must run and beg Jim and Donna Klinge to represent you! Our family will never forget Jim, Donna, and their whole team at Compass — we are forever grateful to them.
I can’t miss this one. I love the location too! I laughed when I read it.
I wish I could come on Saturday, Jim, but congrats on the 500th video! May you do 1000’s more! I love that you are the “anti-realtor”. I cracked up with all the ice cream trucks…
Somewhere in SoCal there’s got to be a 12-step program for ice-cream truck stalkers…
Seriously, man, I have learned so much from your blog — not to mention it’s a source of serious entertainment!
Thank you for all you do.
Darn, two weeks too early to be there. Hope you have a great time, a great turn out, and don’t let the soundtrack be a turn off.
I wish I could come meet everyone but our boys will be dragging us to Legoland (it’s Star Wars weekend).
Jim – love your blog and videos. I wish I could come out and enjoy the festivities of your 500th video. Husband is competing in a motorcycle obstacle course this Saturday. Pretty much obligated to go and can’t get out of it. Hope the ice cream social is a huge success! Think about having another get-together soon so those of us that can’t make it this weekend have a chance to meet everyone and celebrate.
Aaaarggghhhh! Free ice cream, my idea and I`m 1,000 miles away. Quick math, could I eat enough to cover the cost of airfare? Probably not, I`m not 20 anymore. Wait, another business idea: covert some of the video to still shots and publish a coffee table book `The Ice Cream Trucks of Northern San Diego County`
I am not going to be able to make it, but in the last month or so, you’ve turned me into quite a fan I wish I could. Hope it is fun for the old & new friends alike!
I should be able to make it for 30 mins or so.
jtr – Can’t make it – I’m flying to Chicago for Jolanda and Sophia’s Jewelry party!! Sorry Jim. You gotta love it!!!
