While you tour this quiescent neighborhood, sparkle catches your eyes. Off the corner of your eye a gleaming window catches your attention. A splendid walkway then soothes you, entrancing you with its cherubic aura. The circular stone design glows and adds to this ambivalence, just waiting for you to enter its domain
Jim, that remark reads like a Rod Serling intro to an episode of The Twilight Zone! 🙂

I’d take a broken sign any day over what greated me this a.m…. someone hopped the fence and stole my pool cleaner in the night.

Jim:You mentioned an off ramp from the SR-56 south to the top of Del Mar Mesa, and showed the location. The location is correct, but it is very unclear if the off ramp will ever be constructed.
The DMM FBA fund has a large deficit, the projected # of houses at build-out will be considerably fewer than projected, and many members of the community planning group (I am a member) oppose the off/on ramp because it will not save much time and will become a cut-through by pass for the very busy commuter SR-56.
Marvin, Thanks for checking in. I think it is prudent for buyers to assume that it’ll be built someday, and plan accordingly with most expecting to be in their house for the long haul.
Do you have a link for us to monitor, and/or a way to track the developments?

Lol! The realtor doesn’t know just how accurate his/her description really is.
uncertainty or fluctuation, esp. when caused by inability to make a choice or by a simultaneous desire to say or do two opposite or conflicting things.

Here’s my favorite, Jim, that I’ve seen for months in a RE magazine:
“Ripe for refreshing This property was owned by Disney’s first female Imagineer. The 1.17 acre +/- oak-covered property is filled with filtered light, lush lawns and sandstone boulders. There is a peaceful and dreamy feeling as if dwarfs are hiding in the bushes and a cartoon bird may fly down to greet you while you have your morning coffee. 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms. $2,500,000”

Geez. How much would it be without creepy dwarves watching you from the bushes and birds dive-bombing your breakfast??

I’ve been lurking around bubbleinfo regularly for some time now and just recently bought a home. I wanted to thank Jim for his great insights and maintaining this website. In addition, I have learned a great deal from the posters here helped in my purchase.
We had been looking since 2007 casually and it has been a long road sometimes filled with frustration but now that we have moved in, it has made it worth it (at least so far). Many thanks again.

It happened to me a couple of weeks back. My pool man now demands I lock my gate(of course it was his pool sweep). Like you they could have easily came over the fence. I guess it’s the sign of the times. What won’t they steal next?

rodeman-
Tell your pool man he can probably buy it back via Craigslist. What a world.
Happy 5th…also known as Hangover Day.
LOL at “boner way”.
Get a metal sign, see if they still run it over.
Nothing but top notch kids in Carmel Valley; 3rd graders vandalizing at an 8th grade level!
(That’s not, of course, to say I didn’t laugh.)
