At the close of a presentation to a large audience of real estate agents today, I was asked to succinctly compare the Manhattan sales market of 2020 to the potential for 2021. Upon reflection, I said that 2021 had the potential to suck less.

I consider myself a rather savvy buyer/seller. I've bought/sold 7 times in more "

LJ!!! Hope to see more posts about it.
Surprised to find LJ had it’s own MLS, but I like the fact that it’s run with such integrity.
The Leucadia Tudor REO on Sunset that listed for $1.836 on April 1st?
No joke, closed yesterday for $2.365 cash.
They took out the McDonald’s across from George’s.
There goes the neighborhood!
First, $2.3m is a bargain for that house (compared to those cheezball McMansions I see everywhere for $2m).
2nd, if I were selling my house in la jolla and the realtor only put my listing in Reba, I’d be pissed! Maximize exposure…
Is there a way for the publis to browse this LJ REBA MLS? Or do you have to be working with a member of REBA.
Does REBA even HAVE a website of any sort? I couldn’t find one.
REBA just sounds like broker collusion in LaJolla.
Insiders in and outsiders out.
Anonymous @ 10:30am…probably. I went to this open house in LJ and met this realtor for a 2nd time. He was very nice and he said that he could get us to see houses “before they come onto the market”. I guess we now know how.
Then I met his broker…this tall old blonde hag, arrogant as hell. I later found out that she is infamous in La Jolla real estate and probably has esteem issues because her arrogance was pretty bad.
I love Harry’s… Probably be there for breakfast this weekend… (Nice thing about being La Jolla adjacent… amenities without the prices.)
Doesn’t REBA have some weird rules about no for sale signs, and weren’t they part of the old policies of not selling to certain groups.
I love La Jolla – if I was rich and didn’t have to work (so no commute) I’d live there in a heartbeat.

Who are these certain groups?
