We have known Jim & Donna Klinge for over a dozen years, having met them in Carlsbad where our children went to the same school. As long time North County residents, it was a no- brainer for us to have the Klinges be our eyes and ears for San Diego real estate in general and North County in particular. As my military career caused our family to move all over the country and overseas to Asia, Europe and the Pacific, we trusted Jim and Donna to help keep our house in Carlsbad rented with reliable and respectful tenants for over 10 years.
Naturally, when the time came to sell our beloved Carlsbad home to pursue a rural lifestyle in retirement out of California, we could think of no better team to represent us than Jim and Donna. They immediately went to work to update our house built in 2004 to current-day standards and trends — in 2 short months they transformed it into a literal modern-day masterpiece. We trusted their judgement implicitly and followed 100% of their recommended changes. When our house finally came on the market, there was a blizzard of serious interest, we had multiple offers by the third day and it sold in just 5 days after a frenzied bidding war for 20% above our asking price! The investment we made in upgrades recommended by Jim and Donna yielded a 4-fold return, in the process setting a new high water mark for a house sold in our community.
In our view, there are no better real estate professionals in all of San Diego than Jim and Donna Klinge. Buying or selling, you must run and beg Jim and Donna Klinge to represent you! Our family will never forget Jim, Donna, and their whole team at Compass — we are forever grateful to them.
I am struck by 2 things in the video: 1) the first few seconds looked at lot like a Hogan’s Heroes episode; and 2) imagine what those guys could do with today’s laser/gps guided bombs/missiles. They were awesome just by dropping it and letting gravity do the work. Studs is an understatement.
“2) imagine what those guys could do with today’s laser/gps guided bombs/missiles.”
We could have dusted the germans off, allow them swear their commitment to the american constitution, and made them a 51st state. Then, fortified with the german “can do” attitude, we could have polished off Russia, the Ottoman Empire, divide them up into another 20 states, and have the world settled down, and christianized just in time for the 1972 summer Olympics.

Imagine what the WW II vets would do ‘straighten out’ those clowns, the stench-from-the-bench on the whacked-out 9th Jerk-it Court of Schlemiels.
THAT make a guy grin.
Daytrip
You must be the reincarnation of Patton.
He wanted to continue on to moscow.
BTW, the Ottoman Empire was over in 1918.
finally invading is easy. Occupation is hard, ask the Bushies about how easy it was to occupy Iraq
Pat,
The Ottoman empire didn’t end when the brits cut it up. It’s still run by clans, and it’s still a mess, just like the good old days. Call it what you like. It’s still the same.
Finally, invading is easy. Occupation is easy. Just ask the germans how France worked out before the US decided to back Stalin. Looked like a pretty happenin’ party to me. Or ask Ike when he occupied Germany, for many, many years. We occupied them with over a million troupes.
Sending a few thousand troupes to a country the size of California isn’t an occupation, it’s a sight-seeing tour with machine guns.
PS When Patton was a young officer, he was sent to bring back the head of Poncho Villa. Didn’t get Poncho, but he brought back Poncho’s right-hand man, dead, strapped the hood of his Packard.
Have to admit, the man had style.
The Greatest Generation, to be sure.
