There’s a decent buy in here if you are looking for 3,500sf with a big, flat backyard in CV:

doesn’t this break your “no more than half an hour to mow” rule?

  2. Jakob

    Love the huge lawn.

Nice house, great yard! CV explains the (crazy valley) price. 😉

  4. Susie

Ha! “Tower blockers”. It’s good to hear you laugh again, JtR…

OK JTR, you paused briefly at 3:24 with no comment. What the heck is in that bedroom? A small bed centered with a comforter nailed to the ceiling, an alter, or a coffin?

place of worship – all sellers should have one, and pray for a buyer!

#2 – buy this house from me and I’ll show you how to mow it in less than 30 minutes. It’ll start with a McLane reel mower with turbocharger and racing fuel!

Good to know that’s not Uncle Fester in the spare bedroom waiting to go back to the fatherland. That could be a nice disclosure issue.

Jim’s rule of thumb when it comes to mowing is good….but I imagine when people pay $1MIL and up, they’re most likely going to have someone else do the landscaping. As you say, international consultants….

That is one big house and I wonder why they built it in Olivenhain and not RSF? Olivenhain is nice of course, but I’m sure he could have built something nice in Rancho.

That lot is pretty big for Carmel Valley! I love the inside, but the outside hasn’t really been updated….which struck me as odd. You could put a great pool, possibly vanishing edge towards the view. Even still, for $1,300,000….I would go to Encinitas or Leucadia where I could get a non-tract home in a (relatively) old & established neighborhood. You also get a little more house for your money:

You had that on earlier…$1.35MIL. Much nicer & unique house, west of the freeway….same price basically. Some freeway noise, but it’s a great look.

And the owners did a fantastic job of blocking out the tower of death…You can’t even see it!

@#6: – That is room/place of worship/prayer for Sikhs (A Religion/faith that has roots in India … look it up on Wiki). Seller must have some connection with India and Sikh faith.
Small bed is acutally an elevated platform (not permanent) that is upholding Sikh’s holy book under a silk cover.
