Coastal California; Monterey to Chula Vista is not “end game” so much as “end base.” If you are comfortable there then undoubtably you have the means for a Sierra cabin or Hawaii condo and the resources to travel anywhere else.
The idea of an active middle age retirement only to return to say… Redlands does not appeal. For instance. We explored Chicago last week of October. Much fun but still always happy to return to the Dawghaus. Currently 79° Camarillo and snow expected in Chicago.
