Nice residential exterior paint video. The Hub will appreciate seeing this, he is an accomplished automotive and residential painter himself on occasion. I’m just a “whipping boy”.
You scared me with that headline of “flipper paints house seven colors.” But that’s a gorgeous job anyone would be proud of.
How much did this paint job cost and how much does he think it will gain in the sales price? Inquiring minds . . .

And Tom is headed back to San Diego — so he’s going to be exercising his outstanding rehab skills in America’s Finest City.

Thanks for the comments guys. That paint job total cost me about $3500.00 but only because I did alot of it myself and hired daily help. People here locally pay 18k for smaller strip/paint jobs. Regarding making it back on the sales price it will be no problem. This house has a 100k budget and usually make a dollar for every dollar spent on the rehab.
Enplaned is right, we are finally headed back to SD soon, hopefully before Thanksgiving. I am thinking about targeting Golden Hill, South Park, Normal Heights and possibly City Heights. If anyone knows any other transitional, hip and eclectic areas where I might find neat old homes let me know. See you soon!
Great work, Tom. If you really want to cash in you might want to consider moving to San Francisco. The high detail (high cost/price) Victorian paint jobs are works of art. Much less stucco then there is in San Diego.
(As an aside, they are doing a mjor renovation of a house in my neighborhood and the retiree has had stucco put on. Looks completely out of place in a large East Coast city. Would look much better in Arizona or the Inland Empire.

I personally would like to see you tackle some of the bigger old classics in Kensington, Mission Hills, and maybe even Bankers Hill or downtown! There will probably be more inventory available in Golden Hill and Normal Heights, but those are more pedestrian.
