I’m really interested in putting an offer in on this house but first can you tell me if there’s a 99 Cents store close by?

The 47k per month prop tax is a deal killer.

What makes you think Property Taxes are only $47k/mo? Prop 13 has been eroded and circumvented to an extent that I’d be surprised at less than $55k/mo.
Then again Coronado is one of those places that doesn’t need to max out taxes.

The entire premise of property taxes is evil. Same for car registration fees here in CA. Two people walk into the same dealership on the same day and buy the exact same car down to the paint color. The person who makes the better deal forever pays less for registration. It’s insane. It should be scrapped entirely and go to use taxes. And for all of the brouhaha about Prop 13 and how it hinders our wondrous government minders from performing their good works because they don’t collect as much as they dream they should have…you NEVER hear the other part of that and how government has received (and wasted) windfalls of massive property tax revenues from housing values soaring.
