Many who own a two-story home wonder if there is a reasonably-priced elevator they can install once their knees start to give out. This is the best value I’ve seen, though I still recommend moving instead!

Pretty nice but too slow for me.
If it was 2x-3x faster, I can see a lot of these being installed.
Make it buoyant and wait for sea level rise.
I put an electric winch in the attic to haul up and down heavy stuff. Other than the attic the biggest step in the entire Dawghaus is the legal minimum step to the garage. The front door stoop is 4 inches for drainage reasons. There are a total of 5 thresholds 1/4″ or less in 2600 square feet. Edler friendly.
If they could develop a way to escape on my own without power if stuck then I would consider. Otherwise no way I’m getting into that death trap.

You get one battery-operated automatic descent in a power failure. So at least you can get out. And there’s a phone and red light!
