What happened to the Padres?
Manny and Boegarts are married, and Soto and Fernando aren’t.
You know that means there will be 5,10,15 women waiting after every game for ‘nando, and it sounded like he’s enjoying every bit of it. There has to be tension with the wives….who then get protective of their fellas. They try to shrug it off and hope their wives don’t want to come around much.
Remember when you got married, and before long you weren’t hanging around your single friends?
It’s an unexpected hurdle in the clubhouse, and they are trying to figure it out. Maybe next year!
+60 run differential and nine games under .500. Zero for ∞ in extra innings and an awful record in one-run games. That’s what happened. There is not another team with a positive run differential under .500 let alone by this margin. Need to ask the baseball stats gods the last time this happened. The one-run game loss percentage is the worst in baseball and is 2nd only to the Boston Braves in 1935. But wait until next year!
Something is missing and it’s not an obvious flaw in their swing or even something baseball-related.
Padres don’t care how bad the product is that they present.
Most of the games are full of spectators + the concessions are going crazy.
Stop going to games + stop watching them on TV. Make the Padres earn your support again.
They’re still going to win World Series this year. Heard it here first.
They go 12-3 and they’re in. If they’re in (as a result of a hot streak) they have the momentum. And already have on paper one of the best teams in baseball.
They’re 1000-1 right now. Best odds of something that’s actually possible I’ve ever seen.
Send the wives on vacation for 4-6 weeks!!!
