It’s been decades since this historic property was on the market. This is the home where Bugsy Siegel was gunned down on Linden Dr. He was leasing it for girlfriend Virginia Hill at the time. Thank you realtor Myra Nourmand for allowing me inside to document it for Vintage LA
I am surprised the sellers did not put a higher minimum that they would accept as a bid (higher reserve) given they listed it at 9M. How common is it to get a property for that much off list for the properties listed 4 and above ? i figured a lot of people wouldn’t have bothered to bid when the price is significantly above market rate.
Not common but I don’t know what the opening bid was. The auction company does a decent job of marketing, so there must have been a few bidders. It was sold with no reserve.
But it had been on the market for 2+ years, so the sellers might have been exhausted and decided to take whatever they could get.
RSF is a tough market. The sellers paid $4,847,500 in 1999.
