An example of how fragile the market can be these days.

This deck was over-engineered with permits to provide maximum stability for a house that had one minor crack in a foundation block over the last 43 years.  Yet it still took a significant discount to procure a sale:

    If that was my house the cracked concrete would have the support underpinned, the cracked concrete jackhammered out, new concrete poured and the underpin removed a month later and nobody would have been any the wiser.
    And yes I own a house like that except made out of brick and the concrete foundation is still perfect 14 years later. (all my own work too)
