I am an active realtor working the street so most of the time the reality is stranger than fiction these days. But you could probably say that it's been like that since the beginning in 2005. Thanks for asking.

Being fair, the chances many of those pics are from eastern block countries are better than even. Eastern block countries are generally made up of fleeing refugees throughout history who would stop to rest, then sneak away in the middle of the night, leaving their unwanted members behind, till it became a big pile of human refuse. Pile would get so big, they’d just call it “Macedonia,” “Armenia,” or “Sarejevo.” There’s real historic reason gypsies are gypsies.
Conclusion: Most people don’t think like us. Some cultures are intrinsically better than others. Look at the pictures.

There was one local “mansion” featured here back in the day that was pretty good. Had a barbecue station in the front yard entryway, and a long jump pit in the back yard. The pool featured Roman columns that weren’t quite finished. Plumbing poking out of the rock work.
It’s like they got their architectural ideas from old reruns of the Beverly Hillbillies, combined with what they could remember from their discount trip to a Club Med. And a long jump pit.
