One of my rentals is entirely tongue n groove pine (except the kitchen). The prospective tenants are warned in no uncertain terms that the house is being rented with stained wood walls. The house will be returned with stained wood walls.
The interesting thing is that the tenants who understand are also the best tenants. The current occupant is such a nice guy I hated to tell him when he asked that not only wasn’t the home for sale but that it had most likely run away from him price-wise in the past few years.
