As a husband to a wife that hates seafood. My once every month or so solo trips to “Smelly’s” are pretty awesome. By far one of the best seafood places in San Diego.
I lived and worked in the Bay Area for years. However, I still haven’t found a crab sandwich in all my years of being in San Francisco that can beat Pelly’s.
You know what else keeps me coming back? They close the store once in a while to take the crew fishing.
Thanks for posting about Pelly’s. Checked out their online menu and saw that they had Manhattan (red) clam chowder. Being lactose intolerant and loving clams, this is the only type of chowder I can enjoy!
