My mother-in-law saw the big Ferrari sale and sent me this conversation:
Critical Thinking At Its Best! Woman: Do you drink beer? Man: Yes. Woman: How many beers a day? Man: Usually about three. Woman: How much do you pay per beer? Man: $5.00 which includes a tip. Woman: And how long have you been drinking? Man: About 20 years, I suppose Woman: So a beer costs $5 and you have 3 beers a day which puts your spending each month at $450. In one year, it would be approximately $5400 …Correct? Man: Correct Woman: If in one year you spend $5400, not accounting for inflation, the past 20 years puts your spending at $108,000, Correct? Man: Correct Woman: Do you know that if you didn’t drink so much beer, that money could have been put in a step-up interest savings account and after accounting for compound interest for the past 20 years, and you could have now bought a Ferrari? Man: Do you drink beer? Woman: No Man: Where’s your Ferrari? |

This conversation is hysterical, Jim! I won’t tell you all the details why it hits home, but I am going to send it to my son. I know he’ll find it funny too.
I haven’t ever wanted a Ferrari. But I do ridiculously enjoy my home–and if it wasn’t for your stellar advice–(even tho’ I wasn’t a client as I don’t live in San Diego), I sincerely believe I wouldn’t be a homeowner now with no financial worries.
It’s tough wanting to be a homeowner again but also wanting both kiddos not to have any student debt. W/ your help, I succeeded with both goals. Mahalo, JtR!
How about I limited to two, can I still get say a older Porsche?
I love my brewskis. Been shopping at total wine and they have a fine selection of craft beers.
Love it! Thanks Jim. 🙂
I was just over in Europe and paid 20 euros for a beer in Paris. That’s $26.73 US. I guess you could buy several Ferrari’s if you didn’t drink there! lol
