All the San Diego searchers are poor countries (Mexico, Philippines) or in decline (Japan, Italy).

Our property values sure could use some Singapore, China, and UAE searches.

    We were #6? 😆

San Diego has to be in the top 10 for China.

Interesting to see LA is generally the top searched market overall, even above NY. People must love that traffic! Actually, the ethnic diversity of LA is probably among the highest in the world and must help explain this.

Saw a statistic once that if you stood in the center of the 405 freeway in L.A.
Eventually 30% of the population of the world will evently pass by you.

I think people find San Diego by accident mostly.

Why would anyone want to move to Chicago?

  6. Geotpf

Looks like areas with warm weather (IE, cities in California, Florida, Nevada, and Texas) are the most popular everywhere. The top two searches are from those four states in every country, and the top three in all but one (Phillipines), although that doesn’t explain how Chicago is the #1 location overall even though it isn’t in the top three in any one country and in the top five in only two. The disconnect between the data from the individual countries and the total overall makes me think their numbers are flawed in some manner.

  7. Geotpf

Opps, looks like Chicago is in the top five in three countries, not two. My point stands, though.

  8. Just some guy

It’s obvious that the Japanese have never been to Jacksonville, Fl.

That is not a nice place.

I am curious who would use Realtor.com as a search tool and whether that differs markedly by country. Most NAR public data seems to be junk, so I am doubtful that this is any different.

  10. Daniel (theotherone)

Maybe Chicago bought the vote. It’s happened in the past.
