In our old house all the lighting fixtures were Minka Lavery from Black Whale inside and out. I would bet it helped the home sell, especially all the wrought iron pendants hanging inside. The one in our 20′ tall entry took 2 guys(+ myself) 1/2 day to hang and had to build a scaffolding to get the old brass bomber down and hang the new one. Should have had a few of those not convey with the sale as we miss them! And yep, they were as expensive as what you were browsing at in the store. Black Whale has great customer service.

Makes you want to start fabricating custom lighting, doesn’t it? The materials cost is a fraction of the sales price on most of those.
