Notice the huge DVD collection, but relatively few books. I wonder if this is the result of DVDs being easy to pirate and therefore cheap, and books being more difficult to copy, and therefore too expensive to have very many?

Actually books for decorate effect are cheap. There are some used book houses that sell them for this purpose, if you don’t care whats in them. Of course paper books are now old fashioned and unhip, one must use e-books.
