Gascony Road is one of my favorite bike rides because of that view. JTR, you just might see me one of these times riding down that street in a bubbleinfo t-shirt with my yellow labrador retriever trotting along beside.
When that Gascony property was built (along with the three others that sold), I heard the neigbors on the higher side of Gascony raised hell, and the developer had to put all four on the side of the hill so as not to impede the neighbors view.
One of the negatives of that place to me is the steep driveway down. I would hate to have to push my trashcans up that hill to the curb once a week.

Great room seems too small with the separation wall where it is located. Did they need that for load?

Black Rail Rd in 92011 (Aviara) is another such spot/road … Big Ocean Views but through some electrical lines … but for may be half the price for a similar lot.

Jim – can you elaborate on why you believe now is a better time to sell a home with a view instead of the spring?
I wouldn’t want to take a chance on the May Gray making an early appearance.
The fog/overcast/gray conditions seem like they have been lingering longer – it used to be May Gray and June Gloom, but now you could lose a stretch from April to July where you don’t see the sun much, let alone the ocean.

Jim, Awesome view. In a way, some of the awkwardness of the rooms differentiates it from so many other McMansions. The freeway sound, however, kills the spirit. That will never go away. Similar to the situation just up the road in Aviara’s Bella Lago – which is nicknamed, “Bella Loudo”.

Nice upgrades in that house….although there were different floors in every room, it seemed.
