We first heard Chuck’s introduction to the hardwoods, then saw segments on bamboo and cork floors. This is manager Ken discussing different types of distressed hardwoods:

#Padres fans flocked to @Caffe_Adesso in Alpine, which is owned by Joe Musgrove's family, to celebrate and support Musgrove's no-hitter. I went out there too and spoke with a whole bunch of them, which you can watch in this video:

"Jim the Realtor is legit - I interviewed three brokers; he said list price should be $100,000 higher than the other two brokers; listed it with him and had all cash (no financing) offer in two days, five day contingency period, closing in two weeks - and it closed at his recommended list price. I could not recommend anyone more than I recommend Jim the Realtor. more "

"When we moved to San Diego in 2005 we rented a big house on Mt. Soledad (La Jolla) with 180 degree ocean views for the same payment as a mortgage on a dump in Chula Vista. Clearly something was wrong. Yet, the media was full of the usual happy-talk nonsense, so I was glad to find Jim's blog. I've followed his honest assessments and data since. more "

"Where do we begin..2020 has been a year for everyone. When COVID hit and shut down both my husband and my businesses, we were left with a mortgage and very little income coming in. We were stressed, scared and felt stuck. We made the hard decision to sell our home and move out of state. We contacted the Klinges' and spent a good hour going over what we hoped we could accomplish. Jim and Donna came over with comps in hand and suggestions on improvements to get our house ready for the market. It was overwhelming to think about, but Donna was there and one step ahead in every scenario. more "

They know the market and gave us sound advice backed by details and very considerable experience, reflected both in the initial pricing and subsequent negotiations. "I cannot believe there are no reviews of Donna yet, ugh!! She is the secret sauce of the Jim Klinge/Donna Klinge combo! I will touch on Jim here, but Donna is why I'm so totally loyal to these two (no offense to Jim :)).
I consider myself a rather savvy buyer/seller. I've bought/sold 7 times in more "

"Jim and Donna Klinge are by far the most professional, personable and responsive realtors I have ever worked with. They provide VIP concierge level service in every area of the process of selling your home. My home was marketed so successfully that we received an offer the day after our first and only open house. Thanks to Jim's pricing and negotiating, our house is now the highest sold in our community... more "

My very favorite flooring. Thanks for doing this Jim. Next house is going to all be distressed wood – can’t wait!
Yes, the distressed is my favorite look. I was leaning travertino, but now, I’m leaning distressed wood. Mostly because it’s really cold walking barefoot on my terracotta tile!
I have travertine and it is cold feeling and looking (like living in a museum). Wood feels good and has some a homey feeling (brings back memories of childhood) plus every buyer wants a house with all wood floors. I don’t think you can lose putting wood floors in.
I CAN TELL BY THE NATURAL EVOLUTION OF THIS BLOG FROM REAL ESTATE CHAOS AND DROPPING PRICES TO FLOORING SAMPLES THAT STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT THIS REAL ESTATE MESS IS WINDING DOWN.
THE BLOG USED TO FOCUS ON REAL PROBLEMS AND THE MESS OUT THERE BUT NOW IT HAS SHIFTED TO MUNDANE NEWS. TO ME THIS HINTS THAT THE END OF THE BUBBLE IS OVER.
JUST MY CASUAL OBSERVATION
Lol OBSERVER! Easy on the CAPS! There’s still plenty of bubble disaster homes with there underwater 1st mortgage and 2nd and 3rds to boot popping up on this blog. Jim is just adding variety. And as Jim has said the banks are releasing disaster REOs slowly (i.e. “dribbling them out”)because they can (they are not required to foreclose on non-performing mortgages in a timely fashion). If I were you OBSERVER I would not make R.E. investment decisions based on your inaccurate interpretation of the content of one blog.
Anyway, I’m going to put distressed hickory in my bedroom, but that heavily chattered rubber tree sample at the beginning almost looks better. Thanks for this video Jim. Those guys are great explainers.
How much does distressed hardwood cost? I don’t think it was mentioned in the video.
Yes, I had the same question…
Jim, BTW, if you continue the home improvement video route, stone flooring, cabinets, counters, etc, will provide you with a ton of blog content, over the next year or so, that hopefully will be very interesting to your readership.
Thanks for the re-visit with Chuck. I’m going to see him on Monday and will probably use his services on every house from here on.
