SDSU assistant Chris Acker just made us aware on @JonAndJim that over 50 former Aztecs that played for Steve Fisher and Brian Dutcher will be at the Final Four on Saturday. What an incredible bond.
Because few people service a mortgage for all 30 years (they get divorced, refinance, move or die), mortgage rates are compared to the 10-Year Treasury Note.
While Treasury yields have fallen, mortgage rates are stuck in the mid-6% area.
Huge spread vs. 10-year = 304bps.
Simply stunning.
Super cool ,clean design.
I can tell from the photos that this house is also on the Flumserberg side of the lake near the ski area of the same name. The train can wisk one to Zurich in about 1 hour ten minutes from Untertertzen (nearby). Yes, quite a dream house, and for those of you who know Swiss construction, this house will last for centuries. If it were not for healthcare and other issues, I would be there!!
That’s hot. REO?
It’s just off of El Camino and Cannon, correct?
missing the main detail: how much?
Don’t bother. It’s priced in CHF.
Is that shania twains house?
Simply stunning house! The clean lines, location and breathtaking views! I’m in escrow but *Chuckle* maybe this can be my vacation home? What’s the price, JtR?
If you have to ask, you can’t afford it.

W.C., it’s not as bad as you think to do the conversion. Google says it’s almost 1:1.
“1 Swiss francs = 1.0107 US dollar” at the moment.
Stunningly beautiful house, but I would rather see more traditional homes in that area. Kind of ruins the feeling of being out in the country side when you hike past a contemporary-looking house.
Lotsa glass. Flat roof. And it’s near a ski resort — where large volumes of snow generally collects.
There’s got to be some clever heat and snow management in that structure that the photos don’t reveal. Otherwise you’d almost literally be burning cash to heat the place to 18°C, right up until the roof collapsed under metric tonnes of snow.
You’ll also be oiling the wood every year.
Other than that… Absolutely frickin’ gorgeous.
Too much glass. Too severe. Fun to look at, nice concept, but it’s a hard place to dim the lights. And just one thing out of place would make it all look cluttered, messy.
Here’s a link to a condo with similar glassage in SF. I wouldn’t want to live there, either. Not a place for indoor nudists!

The San Francisco condo is gorgeous too, but 58 stories up in San Francisco? Yikes….better have chairs with seat belts on them for the next big earthquake. Too scary to be that high up.
