In our experience, when there are flyers in the flyer box (North County Coastal) – the sale price always illicits – sticker shock, followed by a tinge of sadness (realization that price point far exceeds resources), and lastly a bit of hilarity sets in at the insanity of it all.

JTR – a tech firm approached me to assist on the design of a “SMS/Text” service where you text “1234” to “abcd” (info on a rider on top of the sign post) and are hit with a few texts while still in the car with info on the house, pics, etc. Realtor would capture the senders phone number and try to hook them as a client.

I know there are a couple existing services around, but seems like it should work well. Not looking for a pen/paper in the car, no getting out in the rain (everywhere else but SD), etc.

two way info exchange vs. anon flyers disappearing.

Were you ever approached by anyone on this service?

don’t have to worry about “..no flyer in the box.”

Or for the love of GOD have a website for the property that is MOBILE compatible. Not just iPhone compatible but MOBILE compatible. I can’t count how many times I have looked at a listing while mobile such as 123WhateverSt.com and is flash based or not mobile friendly.

To up the ante on a mobile-compatible site for the listing – check out QR codes and what they’re capable of. That’s the “next big thing”.

I’m available for consultation if anyone’s interested. 🙂
