We have known Jim & Donna Klinge for over a dozen years, having met them in Carlsbad where our children went to the same school. As long time North County residents, it was a no- brainer for us to have the Klinges be our eyes and ears for San Diego real estate in general and North County in particular. As my military career caused our family to move all over the country and overseas to Asia, Europe and the Pacific, we trusted Jim and Donna to help keep our house in Carlsbad rented with reliable and respectful tenants for over 10 years.
Naturally, when the time came to sell our beloved Carlsbad home to pursue a rural lifestyle in retirement out of California, we could think of no better team to represent us than Jim and Donna. They immediately went to work to update our house built in 2004 to current-day standards and trends — in 2 short months they transformed it into a literal modern-day masterpiece. We trusted their judgement implicitly and followed 100% of their recommended changes. When our house finally came on the market, there was a blizzard of serious interest, we had multiple offers by the third day and it sold in just 5 days after a frenzied bidding war for 20% above our asking price! The investment we made in upgrades recommended by Jim and Donna yielded a 4-fold return, in the process setting a new high water mark for a house sold in our community.
In our view, there are no better real estate professionals in all of San Diego than Jim and Donna Klinge. Buying or selling, you must run and beg Jim and Donna Klinge to represent you! Our family will never forget Jim, Donna, and their whole team at Compass — we are forever grateful to them.
If you notice the sign at the old charlies by the sea it says for sale, not for lease. I would like to know what happened there. They dumped a lot of $$ into a remodel and then closed the door one day! Would appreciate your re detective work on this one!
1.699 million for a home next to the Detroit Sea…
Which came first? The house? Or the freeway? If it was the freeway, what was the builder thinking?!?
Re: thanks for the fiesta del sol link. I’d go if they had Donavan Frankenreiter in the lineup. Dude’s got a screw loose. I like that. Timmy Curren’s going to have to represent the pro surfers I guess. His album VerseS is “taste specific” as they say in real estate.
I could not agree more about downtown Encinitas. In 5-10 years it will be even better.
Before you said the price, I was thinking about $900-$1.1M. $1.6M to see a strip of blue and a sea of metal? No thanks.
My completely unsubstantiated suspicion is that the price is set to keep it north of $300/sq.ft. If “luxury” homes fall into the two hundreds, even one parked next to the Detroit Ocean, why then everyone will expect it…
Nah, they are just waiting for that perfect hearing impaired buyer on Noma Lane.
There are more of us in Luecadia who played to much rock music in our younger days without earplugs than you think.
What is it going for above the Smash Burger to the left? I recall there use to be a bar called Epizoti but its totally vacant up there now.
As soon as you said the Whole Foods was next to the train track ….. brrzzt…
Many signs of recession.
Doesn’t the house on Noma also have a cell tower (or something?) next to it with all kinds of warning signs around it?
Some houses near the freeway have surprising little freeway noise due to the terrain, etc., but this one is the exact opposite. It is unbelievably loud!
