Looks like just the right wavelength.
I felt the 5.1 Satsop quake and I was over 125 miles away-on an alluvial island (seismic jello).
Looks exactly like the pool in my Anaheim house after the Northridge earthquake, and we were about 50 miles or so from the epicenter.
This was definitely the biggest quake I’ve felt since I moved to San Diego in ’95. The first one for my kids. My 3 year old was a bit freaked out and my 14 month woke up from his nap.
Brings back memories from when earthquakes were a pretty normal thing (in L.A.).
I was at the San Diego Zoo. As the earthquake hit, we were watching the elephants and they went crazy, they started panicking.
Lucky that the camera man was not swept away.
Although not as dramatically, my pool did a similar thing. It didn’t go over the pool edge, though.
