Instead of the big ‘blue ball’.. we have the big ‘white ball’….

Hey JT, you are videoing one of my favorite biking paths.

The Gascony 4 came onto the market around 2006 or so if I recall correctly. Originally, prices were from the low to mid 2 million range. I imagine carrying costs on those over the years had to be pretty painful.

I noticed Lucy was wearing slightly more practical shoes this time. LOL. (No clear stilletto heels.)

All I could think about is the *CLUNK* *CLUNK* *CLUNK* sound whenever anyone walked on the wood-like floors.

As for the rest of the house, it’s pretty much like every other contractor-built home: extremely fake looking with very little character.

In today’s market I’m thinking 1.3M is the value here. Nice house but no landscaping and much more road noise than in Crestview or Pacific Crest. I would have taken the single level on Aryana over this in a heartbeat.

Nice view. Too many digits in the price. Say hi to my New England neighbor. I agree about the mundane character. For $1.7m I’d buy 600 acres near the NH/MA/VT border and build a fly-in executive golf and retreat.

I would be careful of the midnight tree trimming advice. Trespass to trees calls for double or treble damages.

Jeeeesh, if it looks cheezy & fake on a video it must really suck in person. My friend was renting a house up there for $2300 so I’d put the sales value in the low $600k range. If you paid $1.5 million your taxes alone would be $1500/month? OUCH!

what is that, Afghani style landscaping? feel free to use that one Jim 🙂

As far as the view it’s really nice. I wouldn’t worry about the trees too much unless you were going to stay in it for life. I actually prefer an ocean view dotted with a few palms. I rented an unobstructed 180 view in San Clemente which was great, but when I rented a similar view in Oceanside with all the palms on the strand I really felt it had more of that california vibe.

That was some half-assed staging. Love the towels on the rim of the bathtub that still has a bright red sticker on the inside. How inviting!

    “Check that out”

Interesting timing on that comment, Jim. 😉

Very nice view, not so nice house, but… freeway noise? NWIH at half that price.

I was thinking the same thing about the floors. Are they real wood, they sounded like wide plank laminate.

Also, for originally $2MM I would have expected much better landscaping

Lastly, still just goes to show how patience can pay off. Those “Rich” people who bought the first three are already $300,000 less rich. How much less rich will they be next year?

    Nice ass shot.

Stunning view. Wonder if you could put a pool in there…

I still like the rock house! Even without a roof.

What shocks me is that the yard looks so poor. I’ve seen better landscaping in apartments.

They need to spend 20 grand and get the yard up to par, only then can someone feel comfortable shelling out more than a million for that place…

Inventory is hurting if this is considered good at 1.7M
