Jerry MeyerMarch 28, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We sold a home with Jim and Donna and from beginning to end they were consummate professionals. Their initial walk through the property resulted in a list of items to be repaired or updated. They supplied a list of vendors and job quotes to do the repairs and updates. We originally wanted to sell ‘as is’ and just get it over with. They gave us a selling price for ‘as is’ and options for doing a few updates/repairs to doing it all with the selling price for each option. We agreed to do all they suggested and we sold for the exact price they predicted. For every dollar spent we got back more than $2 back in the selling price. And they got that price in a rising interest rate environment! Donna and Jim are extremely detailed and guide you through ever aspect of the sale. There were no surprises thanks to their guidance. We couldn’t be more pleased with their representation. Thank you Donna and Jim, Jerry and Mary Heather QuejadaMarch 27, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We have known Jim & Donna Klinge for over a dozen years, having met them in Carlsbad where our children went to the same school. As long time North County residents, it was a no- brainer for us to have the Klinges be our eyes and ears for San Diego real estate in general and North County in particular. As my military career caused our family to move all over the country and overseas to Asia, Europe and the Pacific, we trusted Jim and Donna to help keep our house in Carlsbad rented with reliable and respectful tenants for over 10 years. Naturally, when the time came to sell our beloved Carlsbad home to pursue a rural lifestyle in retirement out of California, we could think of no better team to represent us than Jim and Donna. They immediately went to work to update our house built in 2004 to current-day standards and trends — in 2 short months they transformed it into a literal modern-day masterpiece. We trusted their judgement implicitly and followed 100% of their recommended changes. When our house finally came on the market, there was a blizzard of serious interest, we had multiple offers by the third day and it sold in just 5 days after a frenzied bidding war for 20% above our asking price! The investment we made in upgrades recommended by Jim and Donna yielded a 4-fold return, in the process setting a new high water mark for a house sold in our community. In our view, there are no better real estate professionals in all of San Diego than Jim and Donna Klinge. Buying or selling, you must run and beg Jim and Donna Klinge to represent you! Our family will never forget Jim, Donna, and their whole team at Compass — we are forever grateful to them. Lou FMarch 27, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. WeI had the pleasure of working with Klinge Realty Group to sell our home in Carmel Valley, and I cannot recommend them highly enough! Jim and Donna demonstrated exceptional professionalism, offering expert guidance on market conditions and pricing strategy, which resulted in a quick and successful sale. Communication was prompt and we were well-informed throughout the entire process. For anyone looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable real estate team, look no further! --- William SamsMarch 25, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Donna and Jim Klinge of Klinge Realty Group have our highest possible recommendation. From Donna and Jim’s first visit to our house through closing their advice and counsel was candid and honest in all dealings. They kept us fully informed throughout the process. The house sold less than three days after listing with a two-week closing. My wife and I have sold several houses during our lives. This was by far the best experience. Klinge Reality is a premium service realtor. You can’t make a better choice for someone to sell your home fast and for top dollar. Emily HernandezDecember 29, 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Donna and Jim provided exceptional support and professionalism throughout the entire process. We couldn't have been happier with their efforts. They made our house shine, and thanks to their expertise, it sold above the listing price in the very first weekend! Truly a fantastic experience from start to finish. Jesus Adrian SahagunNovember 11, 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This year has been difficult on our family, mainly due to having to sell our home. Thankfully we knew God had a plan for us and working with the Klinge team was a key part of it. It was an obvious decision to work with them again after such an amazing experience when purchasing the same home we needed to sell. The challenge was, how will we do this in so little time with so much going on? Jim and Donna held our hand every step of the way. Whenever an unexpected issue arose they found and provided a solution. Never once did we feel pressured to make a decision and the Klinges were always reassuring after providing the information that the decision was ours to make. Despite the curve balls, they never panicked and exemplified the “can do” attitude, making us feel optimistic and taken care of. Their expertise and professionalism was superb. But of all the reasons to work with the Klinges, the most impactful and valuable is their compassion and genuine care for their clients. We pray that we can one day purchase our forever home and you better believe that Jim and Donna will be representing us - as long as they will have us of course. Thank you again Klinge team! Your execution, experience, and care are unmatched. SABIHA PASHAJuly 23, 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Jim and Donna were fantastic! Jim understanding my needs, recommending potential places, pointing out the pros and cons of each property was invaluable. Then when the offer was accepted Donna’s organized guidance through the inspections, paperwork etc made the whole process seem effortless. So grateful that I had them on my side! Anu KobergJuly 13, 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We first found Jim through his blog at bubbleinfo.com, which really showcased his knowledge of SoCal real estate. Since then we've done three transactions with Jim and Donna, and they are an incredible full service agency, with Jim's deep market insight and Donna's deft contract and project management. We trust them implicitly in their analysis and strategy, which is based on years of experience. They're always available and on top of things, and we strongly recommend them to anyone. Bjorn IsachsenJuly 10, 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The Good The Klinge Realty Group operates like a finely tuned machine, with a very personal touch. We contacted them on a Sunday and they were talking to us about our family and our needs on our living room couch the following day. They carefully listened to us and worked with us to identify the best and quickest path to listing within 2 weeks to take advantage of the low inventory conditions in our South Carlsbad neighborhood. They knew our tract specifically and had many previous sales there over the years - they came prepared with a thorough analysis of comparative sales and recommended a pricing strategy that they felt confident would yield offers the first weekend on the market. The Great Over the next two weeks Donna coordinated a range of vendors who she knew from experience could get the preparation to list work we needed done on time and with high quality. Our light tune-up involved excellent experiences with their stagers, landscapers, contractors, electricians, and plumbers. Throughout this period Donna's daily communication was clear, concise, and responsive. Any time we had questions Donna picked up the phone or texted immediately - but almost always, she answered our questions before we even knew we had them. The Outstanding We had a tricky situation with a shared fence that could have delayed our escrow. Donna used superb mediation skills to negotiate the terms of replacement and was personally on site with the fence contractor to make sure everything went smoothly. The fence looks great and escrow closed on time. The Truly Exceptional Our house came on the market on a Wednesday and between then and Monday morning Jim was personally at all three open houses. He was in constant communication explaining potential buyer reaction and strength. As he predicted offers began to come in on Saturday and each one was incrementally higher than the last. At the end we had 5 offers, 4 of which were over list, and the final accepted offer was $100,000 over list. In addition to being over list it included rent back terms that met our needs. The Recommendation For all of these reasons we would strongly recommend The Klinge Team to anyone wanting to sell in North County Coastal San Diego. I had been reading Jim's bubbleinfo.com blog for 15 years and knew when the time came to sell that he would be our first call. Jim Klinge is not your standard realtor. He is keenly aware of market conditions and sales strategies. And, works his tail off - though not as hard as Donna . At this point he's gone from realtor to friend and I plan to have him over to grill and chill at our new place to talk real estate, but also just about life and raising kids in San Diego. He's more interested in relationships than his sales numbers - and that's why his sales numbers are so high. We have already recommended the Klinge's to some close friends and another successful sale is on deck right around the corner... Chris SheaJune 21, 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We recently had the pleasure of working with Jim and Donna from Klinge Realty Group to sell our house, and we couldn't be more satisfied with the experience. From the initial meeting, they listened attentively to our needs and provided invaluable guidance on specific improvements to get our home market ready. Their responsiveness throughout the entire process was truly impressive. Anytime we had questions or concerns, they were quick to address them, ensuring we felt comfortable and informed every step of the way. What stood out the most was their team and extensive network of tradespeople, which made addressing any necessary repairs or updates seamless and stress-free. Thanks to their expertise and dedication, our house sold quickly and at a great price. We highly recommend Jim and Donna to anyone looking to buy or sell a home. They are a fantastic team who truly care about their clients and deliver exceptional results.Load more
Wow, I didn’t realize things had gotten so ugly (but I usually don’t read the comments section). I’m blaming the “winter blues” making everyone ornery. Jim, keep doing what you do because there is a silent majority that finds it valuable.
You’re doing great. I’m retired and I’m getting a much needed education in real estate from you. There will always be people who will hate you for your success and your good ideas. It doesn’t matter how small and insignificant the hated person may be. And you are nowhere near small and insignificant. I hope you keep up the great work.
Thanks – I think I tolerate a wide variety of comments, positive and negative, as long as they’re constructive.
It’s the people who come here just to mouth off, and to disrupt, that aren’t welcome.

Happy Holidays everyone
Jim, Your blog brings out a lot of emotion in people.A lot of people lost a lot of money this decade. They need to vent their frustration to someone.Love your blog and your great insight to the market.
I love bubbleinfo.com. I check it several times a day. I am a Realtor in Akron, Ohio and I’m turning my license in. Your market is so different than ours, but still similar. Our bank owned are selling for $5 to $25K not $750K. I think you have a very unique idea…….keep truck’n!
Dave J the Realtor soon to be past
People need to vent?
No problem, do it privately by sending an email or calling. This is directed towards the people who are showboating.
I’m not that optimistic that they’ll go away. If the comments go off again, you’ll know what happened.
Can I come for Pizza and good beer or do I have to bring my own Stone Brew? But first I need to leave the cold of the Missouri Ozarks.
I am interested in the market as we are getting ready to sell a house in Temecula. The decision is to sell for what we can get or a strategic default. The house was purchased five years ago with a 50% down and no additional money has been taken out.
Jim, you’re providing a truly unique service for which the real estate community should be forever grateful. We’re potential buyers who have been looking for several years. My wife discovered your website in our Internet search from afar for San Diego properties. We have been fans ever since. Your videos, articles, and blogs have provided us more information and “feel” for the market there than anything else. If on occasion you need to disable comments until emotions cool down, then we understand. Please keep doing what you’re doing. We hope to see you at Pizza Port!
Jim, I think you’re doing a great job and I wish the realtors out here in Arizona had half your intellect and concern for their clients.
If I were to move out to the North County I definately want you to represent me as a buyer.
Thanks again and have a great year.
Frank
Jim,
How about we all buy you a beer! Thanks for the great site.
And Pizza Port rock!
Russ
Jim,
If there are a certain group of users who aren’t welecome, I would imagine you could force people to register/login to leave a comment. This way you could avoid the stress of reading the negative comments from people with the courage that comes along with the anonymity of the web (a.k.a. internet balls).
Anyway, don’t let a few bad apples get you down. I’m sure the overwhelming majority of people that come to your site do so because they are in awe of the service you provide. Keep truckin…we all support you!
Jim, Tell all the negative nabobs to pack up their shovels & come spend a day at our “money-pit” in SB. Nothing like a little work to get one back to feeling good! Have a great holiday.
Jim, this is an outstanding blog and I can say for certain you have made me money!
When the right opportunity arises I will be using your services.
Jim,
I enjoy reading your blog and watching the video.
I lived in Carmel Valley for about 10 years and moved out in 05 after selling my condo for a good profit. Afterwards, I moved into Andalusia by the school in Carmel Valley. After about six months, we renters were forced out in a condo conversion — they were trying to sell small condos to us for 585K. Nearly all the rentals in 05 were being converted in the area. They even kicked the old people out because they couldn’t afford it. So, I was forced out of the area. In fact, I’d say about 95% of the tenants left.
I enjoy seeing what the market is doing in Carmel Valley and La Jolla. Its very informative especially for potential buyers. I’m sure there are a lot of pissed off owners right now but the real reason prices decline in real estate is jobs and that is not the fault of bubbleinfo.com .
Keep up the good work. Buyers and sellers need the good market information.
Keep up the great work, Jim! Your videos and posts are fascinating and very informative. I am always impressed by how much work you put into this site.
Merry Christmas Jim – don’t let the negative comments get you down. This blog is tremendous, but it’s become so popular you’ve started to attract internet tough guys. The rest of us appreciate what you’re doing and are doing our best to ignore them.
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=internet%20tough%20guy
Jim,
You are an interesting guy. If I get over the line let me know. Like I’ve said before I don’t think Real Estate is a bad thing to own. I just believe that there is both good times and bad times to buy. It gets frustrating as a buyer when all you hear is buy now or be priced out forever. Especially from real estate “experts” that could barely qualify as a high school dropout. Making and saving money is hard work. Sometimes it feels like agents don’t get it when they say “just add another 5k to your offer”. Also (this is the last thing) all the government assistance is incredibly frustrating for those of us playing by the rules and trying to do the right thing. Imagine bidding on a house with money you’ve saved up for several years against gov funded numbnuts that have never learned to save and will outbid whatever number you put forth because they have no idea what money is really worth.
And BTW your blog is the best out there. Keep up the good work.
Hi Jim,
F.Z. & Pizza Port microbrews- now you are talking my language! I know a great FZ story, by the way. And I’m with Russ on buying you the beer.
I continue to like your site a lot. While I am not in the market I am a real macroeconomy-watcher and also very concerned with the local economy. You are one of those rare sources of good, useful, feet-on-the-ground information as well as a provider of many good laughs with your asides. I place your site among my most highly esteemed sources.
Largely because of your site, I have become more optimistic about the local economy (as it relates to small businesses like mine) than I probably would have been if all I had was my other national and international sources. Local knowledge rules! You have actually helped me feel better about things. The same can be said about one of my retailer friends I have turned onto your site.
For many reasons, bubbleinfo.com is a favorite site of mine, my partner, and friends.
All the best,
Rick the Tuna
Peace Jim–Enjoy the Holidays–Great site! Have you ever tried Port’s Wipeout Ale? I am hooked on their IPA’s–strong (and good) two pints and I am lit!
Jim, it’s the anonymity that’s the problem. It’s like road rage, people who are normally pretty civil will flip someone else the bird once they get behind the wheel and become anonymous. Take away the anonymity and you’ll see the bone headed comments decline (you’ll never get rid of them 100%). Then if you get a bad actor you can ban them from the site for a week or so.
I know you get the “freedom of speech” crowd that hate doing this, but all freedoms come with responsibility and when people act like 2 year olds they need to be treated like juveniles.
Just my 2 cents.
rock on Frank… I mean Jim!
U have one of the best blogs on the Internets. Chill
Water… Ducks Back… Wackos… Comments….
Like SD Coastal, I also believe that anonymity is the problem. I would be interested to know what specific comment(s) caused Jim to temporarily shut down the comments section.
This blog provides a huge amount of invaluable information on the San Diego RE market and I greatly appreciate it.
Thanks Jim!
I’ll have a glass of Shark Bite!
Jim
If it had been this week you were at Pizza Port I would have stopped by and bought you a beer after my client meeting. (love Pizza Port) Alas I will be up in Rainy SF — but love the blog and find it very useful even though I now am in Nor Cal.
ps — Can you get any agents up here to do what you are doing down there? It would be a great service especially the foreclosure work.
Unlike CR where a tremendous amount of additional information and insight is exchanged via the comments, the value here is almost entirely within your posts and videos, therefore I’ll check the blog daily even if comments were turned off forever. Keep up the great work, Jim!
p.s.: You recently zapped a one-liner post of mine that was admittedly not contributing anything but was (what I considered) a playful little dig based upon a comment you’d made in the post’s video. I’m truly sorry if that was taken wrong.
I am nowhere near San Diego but I subscribe to your blog because I’m getting an education in real estate and financing from you.
What you do is valuable and the last thing we need is for you to get discouraged or inhibited by internet jerks.
It would be best if the comments could be on *and* useful, but if you need to turn off the comments to keep doing your presentations, just do it.

Merry Christmas Jim!
p.s. I agree, one of the best blogs out there. And one of the reasons I wanted you as our realtor.
Hi Jim,
Don’t let the negative crap-whores get you down. Once you become popular enough, the trolls come out of the woodwork. I get hate mail for every blog post I write, and I don’t even touch politics (which always brings out the worst in people!)
I vote Thursday for Pizza Port. Richard won’t be here on Wednesday and he’d really like to have a beer with ya. P.S. Which Pizza Port? And can you post it earlier than a couple hours before you are going to be there…sometimes my feed reader doesn’t update very quickly with your new posts 🙂
THANK YOU for everything you do!
-Erica
How much for an X poster? “X” is my all time favorite band!!!
Ex owner, now renting and waiting it out. 2010 is going to be awful for owners and shareholders. Cash is KING. >
Keep it up, Jim!
Haterz suck.
Probably a bunch of bitter, jealous realtors.
I vote Pizza Port Solana, either Wed or Thurs.
An original like JtR deserves the original Pizza Port.
Frank Zappa went to from Mission Bay High School.
I am involved in investments and spend three to four hours everyday on the internet gathering information. Your informative site is revealing on what is happening on San Diego coastal property.
Plus it is entertaining for me as I was telling people in 2002 not to buy because we were in a bubble. A year from now we shall be under 2002 as governments around the world stop their stimulus package and the option ARM recast cause prices to hit that level.
The comments are also educational and hopefully will not stop.
If you were younger it would be let hit a bar instead of a restaurant. Just joking.
@calhousebear: If you’re in the Bay Area (I assume from your comment about SF that you are), get to know Andy Kaufman. His website is myeastbayagent.com. He is also a foreclosure specialist, straight shooter, very tech savvy and a blogger.
Having lived in the Bay Area for almost 10 years, Andy was the only real estate agent I ever met who actually seemed to be more than a talking head of whatever the NAR wanted people to believe.
Check him out.
-Erica
Anonymous critics are just part of the internet. Sad but true. They don’t give an accurate image of how your blog truly is, nor convey the value we all get from it.
I would join you all if I were in SD. I am also a big fan of Pizza Port IPA so long as someone else is driving ….
I am greatly entertained by your videos. I realize that doesn’t put any $ in your pocket, but if/when I can steal a good one in RSF from the bank, you’ll hear from me.
Frank was the man. I wore out my Overnight Sensation and Sheik Yerbouti albums back in college. (Is that a real poncho or a Sears poncho?)
Anonymity done right can be extremely valuable by giving freedom to speak one’s view without the political or economic consequences of an attributed remark.
I would ask you keep it open to maximize its utility and revenue generating capacity. I believe you can set up a filter to block profanity.
While there’s no excuse for ill-mannered writing, a divergence of views does provide a richer discourse and avoids “group think.”
If anything the haters validate the good work you are doing. People only throw stones at fruit-bearing trees.
I bought a place earlier this year but I keep coming back here for the wisdom and laughs. Thanks!
For every troll that makes a comment there are 100 of us silent fans. Keep up the great work.
I’d sure like to see an example of a problem posting. Must have been a very serious violation for all the comments sections to be closed down.
As all the others have said: You do great work.
I really do learn from and enjoy the comments, but if you need to kill them, just do it.
Hi Jim,
After about 2+ years of following you, I actually took a few weeks off of reading your blog altogether because I just felt so angry after reading the same drivel over and over from the same showboaters in the comments section. If it wasn’t showboating, it was just outright b.s. and generally not constructive stuff.
I would be so pleased to have comments ‘off’ forever (are we allowed a vote!?). As it is now, I did come back to your site, but I scroll past ALL comments and only read yours — you are really the only one bringing good value to the site (as I think it should be!). I actually considered emailing you about this — asking you if you felt the tone of the audience has changed over the years. And not for the better. Instead I just unplugged for awhile.
I hope you know through our meeting as well as our infrequent emails that I respect your work so much — I sincerely hope to work with you in the future. But for me, please cast a vote for ‘comments off forever.’
All the best,
BAM!
That was “Casual” Jim the Realtor…no tie! Dig those posters!
I’m also now curious what posts pushed you over the edge.
Regardless, to me the comments are a large part of the value of bubbleinfo. Don’t get me wrong I’d still drop by from time to time without them, but they really are useful and informative in many cases.
Sorry that the trolls got under your skin, but hey, when you have anonymous + internet + traffic, you’re gonna get ’em. Some other bloggers here could probably provide you some good advice on better/easier ways to moderate the posts.
Jim,
You are innovative and informative and clearly, not one, but two steps ahead of the rest. Keep up the good work!
Thanks dude!
Love the X poster. I remember when they used to play at the Bachanal (long gone bar in Clairemont). They also played the first several street scenes back in the very early 80’s. Those were the days.
I’m glad the comments are back on. Hope none of my comments piss you off.
Thanks for the warm thoughts everyone.
The blog content will continue, I’m not going anywhere.
I’m hoping for a constructive discourse about buying and selling real estate. Constructive comments expand the investigation, which benefits everyone.
There have been over 22,000 comments over the last 15 months, an average of 1,400+ per month. Thank you for contributing!
I read every comment, and when there’s a run of negativity, it gets old. If the comments are constructive, I don’t have to worry about being hall monitor.
All-in-all I am very pleased with the sense of community among commenters, and hope we just had a couple of weeks.
Jim, dude, buy us a beer? Are you kidding? I think we owe you a whole freakin’ keg. You are doing a fantastic service, and on behalf of the silent majority who don’t comment much, I want to give you a big Mahalo!
Keep up the great work, Jim. I know you did not create your profitable business in a cut-throat industry by listening to detractors. Crank up some Wild Gift and keep rocking the real estate world with your truth from the frontlines.
News flash, those of us in SF are starting to see what SD has been seeing for years. But it’s still extremely hard to tell people bad news when they refuse to hear it. But it is slowly (very slowly) being accepted. There’s still a lot of hope that recent upticks in the stock market, # of sales, and home prices means good times are around the corner. I personally don’t believe that. I think we have 3 to 4 more years before bottom – SD too. Of course I’m talking about City of SF, not Oakland and other areas that have been crushed. Prime SF has not been crushed. Only about 15% down, and only 3 months of inventory in nearly every segment.
As for comments, hopefully you can find a way to ban IP addresses, or user names. Comments are definitely useful. And of course you need to not take it personally – not an easy thing to do – so I myself comment here anonomously even though a link back to my site would be nice 😉
Jim,
Don’t let the comments get you down. You know you have a large fan base out there, and the vast majority of readers/posters support what you do.
As you mentioned, nothing is happening in the market right now, and that is probably frustrating some people.
Hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday season!
I’m a big fan of this blog, and X, and Frank Zappa and Alice Cooper. But as a Cubs fan seeing you in that hat, I have to say GO SOAK YOUR HEAD KLINGE YOU *(&%$#&#!!!!!!!
For every troll that makes a comment there are 100 of us silent fans.
And from all over the country. I’m a big fan of yours living in Washington, DC. Love the videos and your commentary in the videos. Never comment here because I have nothing to contribute.
I look at a lot of web sites and blogs every day. You are performing a real service here. Keep up the good work.
And if I lived nearby, I’d gladly buy YOU a beer. Instead, I’m going to send you something I’m sure you’ll enjoy (and yes, it is family friendly).
Merry Christmas to you sir.
Happy Holidays Jim!! I start my day every day by checking your blog. You are amazingly honest. It is so refreshing and I appreciate all that you do.
Thanks again and let’s all try to stay positive and hope for the best in the coming year.
Jim
Keep up the good work. I look forward to checking out your blog every day. I am determined to move to North County in the next 18 months or less and your info has been invaluable.
jim, you are a hell of a nice guy and i enjoy your website immensely.. i’m up here in canada, but it doesn’t prevent me from enjoying what you share with everyone here.. now if i was down in your neck of the woods, i would actually buy you a beer.. let me know when you are up here and i will extend the offer anytime… thanks
I think I’ve more or less learned to live with the really high noise-to-signal ratio that characterizes just about every forum that allows all comers to comment. One learns to identify the the few people who actually know something (beside yourself of course), and it would be a too bad if they couldn’t contribute anymore. But the biggest value is in what you do here, and if you feel more comfortable without all the comments then I’m all for turning them off.
Thanks Jim.
Eh, I should modify the ‘few who actually know something’ comment. The noise-to-signal ratio is a lot better here than most everywhere else, IMO. But maybe it’s heading in the wrong direction?
Jim,
My first time on this site. Browsing around, it looks like you are providing a very useful service. Keep up the good work!
Reading through some of the comments I suspect that major factors such as anonymity and the general “perception” of your industry is causing some childish behavior, which is disappointing to hear when I can clearly see the hard work you put into educating the public.
There will always be those individuals that find some pleasure in non constructive behavior, but as one commenter said previously, for every one of those, there are “100 of us silent fans” and I’m one of them.
The work you are doing is appreciated, and you are providing a very valuable service that at least I find useful. Keep doing what you’re doing, and disregard those that don’t agree. They are more than welcome to not browse to this site should they choose.
Jim’s gonna be pretty smashed by the time you guys are through with him.
Digging all the new videos. Out of curiosity, what’s your southern boundary? LJ?
jim, just a thought, but i think that most of your negative commenters are coming from CR. his blog is somewhat politically charged (though his posts stay remarkably neutral) and attracts that sort of commenter.
especially when he links to a post about flippers or REOs, i think you get an onslaught of negative commenters from his blog.
(i love CR, and read it everyday, but the comments are overwhelming, and his content attracts polarized readers)
i’d bet if you disable the comments on any post that CR links to, you’d cut out a big swath of the negative comments.
Happy holidays Captain Jim. Great site, read it every day. I really don’t care what the comments are as long as it’s an honest bull bear debate that doesn’t get personal. I don’t even read cr’s comments any more due to the cliche’s of kool aid and the apocalyptic gold bugs who are hiding in a bunker somewhere. I agree that turning the comments off after a JTR highlight on CR would solve some of the problems. I think you may have just signed yourself up for 20 bear of the month club presents!
Hey, Jim. I don’t usually check the comments, but I am sure you have it under control. Keep up the good work. Happy Holidays!
Happy Life Day, Jim! 🙂
Jim – don’t let negative comments get you down – you do a great job and I’m very thankful that you share your insights with everyone who goes to your website. I wish you a Merry Christmas!!!
Just a thank you from one of your silent readers. I don’t comment here, but I appreciate the work you put into the blog, and into sharing your take on the SD real estate market–good, bad, and ugly.
I like the fact that you’re not an optimist, and you’re not a pessimist. You call it like you see it, not how you want it to be. And you’re willing to defend your opinions. I’ve learned a lot by watching the show. Thanks.
Hey Jim,
Thanks a ton for bringing the comments back! I learn as much from them as I do from the original posts. I hope people honor your humble request and get back in line.
Happy Holidays Jim, I was offshore on a yacht delivery with no internet access. I guess I missed some bad vibes from some of your readers. Keep the faith, and keep on informing me while I get a good laugh as a bonus!
To the readers: let us respect Jim’s blog and keep it focused as an interactive constructive learning tool.
If you need to spew vitriol, then perhaps something by Glenn Beck will more suit your needs…
