$467/sq.ft. — it’s not the craziest price I’ve ever seen for that type of place. Still, at 140 DOM, I’d say he’s overpriced it by at least $500K.

The lagoon can stay, but the kitchen – I’d have to tear it all down.

Nobody’s asked yet: what brought Rob Dawg to Bill Walton’s house?

  4. Rob Dawg

Yeah, seems every time I visit SD the police show up.

Anyway, how many of these do you want? Dozens of kissing cousins to these are stacked up like cord word in my neighborhood waiting for the market to turn.

What a great bachelor pad. Too bad no one even Tiger can afford the price after the divorce.

I’m with srv, love the lagoon and the view into the back yard, but otherwise too big and just….ugly. What’s with the post in, what I assume is, the master suite?

    It’s got character

The location is awesome. That path behind lets you walk across to the west side of 163 if I’m not mistaken.

But – would there be issues with the boy scout and girl scout camps right there. I know, growing up, we had weekends at the girl scout camp and we were NOT quiet. Neither were the boy scouts.

I love the Library. I always wanted a home with a proper Library.

Lower the price to 2 million and give me free tuition to Uni or Bishops and I am there!

    hmmm….

Actually, there is a catholic school in North Park and Cathedral tuition is not too bad…

Actually, Francis Parker (closer), not Bishops.

I wonder if he will throw in his jukebox with all his 60’s music. Or his twenty foot teepee.

Been to the house a couple of times. The zoo is right across a small canyon. You can see the people barely with all the shrubery.

Don’t have to worry about hitting your head on entry to any room except the laundry room. About four years ago he put in 7 foot six inch doors in all the rooms.

Also you have to include the tennis court in the picture as his property.

It’s like the place isn’t sure what it wants to be. It looks like a mash-up of mid-century minimalistic futurism with 1970’s kitsch and that quasi-rustic “Ethan Allen” look, with the result being an awkward détente rather than a cohesive whole.

Still, as an earlier poster said, the place has character.

Arg, I meant St Augustine’s is more reasonable (I think)!

Cathedral is more expensive and is also further away.

Cathedral 3x football division winner though, after another drubbing of Saints. State champs last year, and Gaffney (Stanford) was state player of the year.

Worm – this is the photo from the listing agent! He forgot the tennis.
