Someone’s wife was named Lina and she fell from the heavens? Judging by the banter of some of my married friends, maybe it should be renamed Lina desde el Infierno.

I would hate having to spell out “Rambla de las Flores” everytime I sent out a piece of mail. I’m sure there are many roads/streets that have many more letters.

Try this one:
Calle Mar de Armonia

Or this one…
Caminito Mira Del Mar
Every time you give some one the address they think Del Mar is the city and you have to spend 30 seconds explaining that it was part of the street address and that San Diego is actually the city.

Who cares about spelling? 20% of you still think the sun revolves around the earth. 40% think the things in the bible actually happened.

*Chuckle* When we lived in Hawaii, I had to spell nearly every word of my address and city when I ordered something from a catalog. More times than not–when I got through all that–the customer rep said there would be an extra shipping charge for “delivery outside of the U.S.” I then had to patiently explain that Hawaii had, in fact, been a state since 1959. I was incredulous that so few people understood that fact.

Hawaii is outside of the U.S., just like Sierra Nevada is an imported beer (and, thus, more expensive).

Corte Jardin del Mar
I lived on this street. Small street, long name. In addition to the hand cramps from writing the silly name each time on correspondence, you DO have to explain to every delivery person, etc. that it is not in Del Mar.
We had a small fire back of the court (~100 Acres). Try an emergency call when they think you have called the wrong city!
By the way, there are at least two NODs on a court with less than 20 houses, and two other properties are for sale.
I always thought Santa Barbara has some interesting street names.
Salsipuedes – “Leave if you can” lol
Indio Muerto – “Dead Indian” – nice…
Punta Gorda – “Fat Point” – feminine form, could mean “fat lady’s ass”

It is one thing to explain to Sale Reps that Hawaii is part of US. It is another thing to tell my customer the PR (Puerto Rico) is considered domestic mail for postal office and they only have to pay domestic rate.
Something I think, why don’t I just give them higher rate ?! Ha ha ha…
Thanks for the lesson in how broadband has changed our world. Image wouldn’t load on my BBerry. I checked my computer, and it is 1.5M. So much for sizing for the internet.
BTW, WordPress automatically thumbnails using GD tools. too bad you’re not using the world’s best blogging software 🙁
This is WordPress, I’ll scale the pic down for you, if you ask me nicely.

I also live on a street that isn’t a “street”, “drive”, “lane”, etc. I can guarantee that people who live on Rambla de las Flores are forever having telephone sales desks ask “Is that Rambla de las Flores STREET?”.
One thing I particularly like about internet ordering is that I can type in the address myself.

They probably meant “in the contiguous US”, but since they’re barely above minimum wage they just say “in the US”. Nobody is trying to be unreasonable, it actually costs more to ship to Hawaii, imagine that!

I am sure most everyone has seen REO Way off of the 125 in Paradise Hills area–I used to chuckle at that one even in good times!!!

I lived on Avenida Navidad in UTC, it really is a pain trying to convince customer service jockies that there is no ST, PL, LN, etc etc..

How about
Foreclosure Way or
Shame Alley or
Realtors Paradise?
¿Que? Calle Tierra Vista. Dirt View Way.
