Extending Debt-Relief Tax Deadline

The exemption of debt-relief taxation is due to expire this year.

Bills have been introduced to extend the deadline to January 1, 2015.

The House version, sponsorsed by Rangel & Co.

    Why don’t they wait to the 11th hour before the election for this? Seems to me it would get them some votes at the expense of those paying their bills on time.
